How it works
How Vaultory Consignment Works
Selling through Vaultory is a managed consignment service.
Unlike an open marketplace, sellers do not upload and fulfil their own products.
Vaultory physically receives, inspects, stores and manages every accepted collectible.
Step 1 — Online Submission
The seller provides:
- Full name
- Phone number
- Address
- CNIC copy
- Item details
- Condition
- Photographs
- Expected payout
- Proof of purchase or authenticity where available
Submitting an item does not guarantee acceptance.
Step 2 — Preliminary Approval
Vaultory reviews the information and photographs submitted.
If the item appears suitable, we issue preliminary approval.
This approval only allows the item to proceed to physical inspection.
Preliminary approval is not final acceptance.
Step 3 — Delivery to Vaultory
Approved items may be:
- Couriered to Vaultory, or
- Delivered directly
Vaultory covers the inbound courier cost for approved submissions.
Courier-related loss or damage while an item is travelling to Vaultory will be handled according to the courier's applicable liability or insurance terms.
Step 4 — Physical Inspection
Once received, Vaultory conducts a physical assessment.
Depending on the collectible, this may include:
- Authenticity review
- Physical condition
- Working condition
- Serial or identification numbers
- Accessories
- Packaging
- Repairs
- Restoration
- Replacement components
- Modifications
- Missing parts
- Damage
- Supporting documents
Vaultory may reject an item after physical inspection even if preliminary approval was previously given.
If rejected after inspection, Vaultory will cover the return courier cost.
Step 5 — Seller Payout Agreement
If the item is accepted, Vaultory and the seller agree on a fixed seller payout.
Example:
Seller Agreed Payout: Rs. 80,000
This is the amount the seller will receive following a successful transaction.
Vaultory independently determines the final retail price.
Any Vaultory discount, promotion or negotiated selling price does not reduce the agreed seller payout unless a different arrangement has been agreed with the seller.
Step 6 — Consignment Agreement
Before listing, the seller signs a digital or physical Vaultory Consignment Agreement.
Once signed, the collectible enters the active consignment period.
Step 7 — Listing & Marketing
Vaultory manages:
- Product photography
- Editing
- Product description
- Website listing
- Pricing
- Promotions
- Customer inquiries
- Storage
- Order processing
- Packaging
- Shipping
The seller does not need to communicate directly with buyers.
Step 8 — Minimum Listing Period
Every accepted collectible has a minimum 30-day consignment period.
During this period, the item remains exclusively with Vaultory.
The seller may not simultaneously sell or transfer the item privately while it is actively consigned.
Step 9 — Successful Sale
Once the item is successfully delivered to the buyer, Vaultory begins seller payout processing.
Standard payout:
3 days after successful delivery
Payment is made by bank transfer.
Valid customer disputes, refunds or returns may require the payout to be temporarily held or reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
